GENIE InfraRed Safety Kit 34900R.S Replaces most GENIE infra-red photo cell systems. Does not replace first generation ISR 3-wire connection beams.   Will not work with openers not originally equiped with infra-red  sensors.     Beams have screw terminal connections and come with mounting brackets, roll of wire, and complete mounting and wiring instructions.     These sensors have screw terminals, instead of plug-in or push in connections for the sensor wires.   The pig-tail sensor plug, shown to the right in Related Items, is not needed to connect these sensors to the sensor wires.

Things to Consider When Installing this Product:

If your original sensors have plug-in jacks, cut off the plug and seperate the two strand wires. Screw each wire into one of the two terminals on the back of the new sensor. If one old sensor has 1 plug and the other sensor has 2 plugs, follow the same procedure above for the one plug sensor by seperating wires by color. For the 2 plug sensor, cut the plugs and connect wires by color. Then connect one set of same colored wires to one terminal and the other set of colored wires to the other terminal. For those systems having sensors attached to the terminal strip: If the motor head has a three position terminal strip, use terminals 2 and 3; if it has a four position terminal strip, use terminals 3 and 4, and if it has a six position terminal strip, use terminals 2 and 3.
